About
The Pickled Parrot, established April 2008, opened in a modest booth selling antiques and gifts in a quaint local antique mall. In two short years this family owned and operated business has grown in size and scope, expanding inventory to include purses, jewelry, luggage, and much more.
The Pickled Parrot will reach a new and exciting milestone in May 2010 when they open their own store in Adel, GA. Growing from 600 square feet to approximately 2000 square feet will allow The Pickled Parrot to once again expanded their inventory, now to include quality consignments, fabulous hand crafted items by local artisans, and a very nice line of candles.
This long time dream continues to thrive due to the continuing support of dear friends, patient family, and loyal patrons. Without you none of this would be possible. Thank you!
UPDATE – April 2011
The Parrot is thriving thanks to amazing customers and consignors!
As The Parrot approaches it’s one year anniversary in the 213 W 4th Street location owners Terri Newberry and Annie Resta continue to marvel at the growth The Parrot has experienced.
Shortly after reopening in May 2010 it became obvious the newly renovated 2000 sq ft store was simply not enough space. The very next month the mother daughter team took a leap of faith and secured the entire 6000 sq ft building. The additional space has allowed The Parrot to carry a larger variety of merchandise and accept over 100 new consignors.
In November 2010, Terri became a daily fixture at The Parrot allowing for new expanded store hours! Now our many customers and consignors enjoy convenient store hours Monday through Saturday!
The Pickled Parrot continues to proudly offer the community a unique shopping experience, allowing consignors to earn some extra cash and allowing shoppers to save big on thousands of brand new and gently used items.
